General History

#7066 was originally delivered to the UAE and spent the first eight years of its existence off the radar in Saudi Arabia and the UAE, covering about 1000 miles in that time. Though this car was delivered to Middle East, it was built to US specification. Thus, it was easy to import to the United States, which happened in 2016 after it was sold by Al Ain Class Motors in Dubai. Upon arrival in the US, it was offered for sale by Manhattan Motorcars from 2016 onwards asking $1,495,000, but with no success. After failing to sell and simply sitting in storage for years, it was decided to consign the car to be auctioned by Bonhams. It went up for auction at Bonhams ‘The Scottsdale Auction’ in January 2020 with “under 1200 miles” and an estimate of US$900,000 to US$1,000,000. However, with the highest bid reaching US$850,000, it failed to sell and returned to Manhattan Motorcars.

Post-auction, the car was offered for sale again by Manhattan Motorcars and finally found a new owner in New Jersey in late 2021. In enthusiastic new hands, the car participated in several high profile events including Monterey Car Week and Hypercar Invitational. It remained based in New Jersey from late 2021 until July 2023.

In July 2023, this CCX was sold to a new owner based in Rye, New York. In June 2024, the car was flown to Italy by its owner to participate in the 2024 Ghost Squadron Tour.

Exterior Spec

This CCX is painted in a beautiful shade of silver, accented by carbon fiber parts such as the front splitter, side skirts, Top Gear wing and diffusor. The car rides on elegant silver nine spoke wheels. It has a small Swedish flag sticker on the transparent engine cover.

Interior Spec

The interior is finished in a unique shade of navy blue, only the steering wheel color is black. The rest, such as the dashboard, A-pillar and part of the seats use blue leather, whereas the rear bulkhead, roof liner and seat center are covered in blue alcantara. Silver contrast stitching is applied to break up the beautiful blue interior. The car has a manual transmission and is equipped with the quirky chrono cluster.
