#7144 - Phoenix
VIN: YT9MM1A4XJA007144
Country: United States
Left-Hand Drive
General History
Chassis #7144 is known as Agera RS ‘Phoenix’. It was built as a brand new car to replace the Agera RS ‘Gryphon’ (chassis #7131), which crashed during testing. As such, Phoenix is one of the two ‘additional’ Agera RS on top of the planned production run of 25 units. It got its name thanks to a Phoenix that rises from the ashes, symbolizing how something beautiful can come out of the unfortunate crash of Gryphon.
Phoenix was delivered in April 2018 to Irvine, California, and its first owner, Manny Khoshbin. Though enamoured with the car, just six months after delivery, in October 2018, Mr. Khoshbin got an offer from a collector interested in buying it. The offer was substantial: $4.1 million USD. Having paid just $2.2 million, Khoshbin thought the offer was too good to decline: $1.9 million profit in six months. And with that, the car sold.
From late 2018 until 2021, the car remained in the greater Los Angeles area with its second owner, Mike Yin. In April 2021, it was sold to its third owner, another collector in the greater Los Angeles area. It remained in the possession of the third owner for 13 months, sharing the garage with the owner’s Koenigsegg Regera and being used lovingly.
In May 2022, the car sold to its fourth and current owner, based in Nevada.
Exterior Spec
Phoenix has a full Exposed Carbon Fibre body, a beautiful carbon weave with a glossy look that shines under the sun. The car has accents and stripes in 24K gold leaf, including on the front canards, down the sides (Speedster-style stripe), on the side fins, around the air intakes, roof scoop, and louvres, on the roof line, and on the rear wing. All of the badging is gold, as are the centre locks on the wheels, and the brake calipers. A gold ‘Phoenix’ emblem is also found near the C-pillar of the car, near the location of the gas cap. The exhaust tip is also finished in gold. During the fourth ownership, a straight-piped exhaust system by Ryft was installed, making the car significantly louder than stock.
Phoenix has a custom aerodynamics package, including double canards (larger than usual, too), a custom roof scoop, and a custom rear wing. In addition, every carbon option has been added for weight-savings purposes, including the carbon wing mirrors and the proprietary AirCore Carbon wheels.
Phoenix is optioned with the one megawatt (1MW) power upgrade, which only six other US-spec Agera RS have.
Interior Spec
The interior is black alcantara with gold stitching in the Drift pattern. There is a small amount of black leather, too, in the case of the steering wheel and the sides of the seats. The interior also has plenty of exposed carbon, including the centre console and the doors. Gold Leaf surrounds the climate control vents, tying in nicely with the exterior. “Phoenix” adorns the passenger dash, reminding any passenger just how special of an Agera RS they are riding in. There are Phoenix emblems on each headrest, an incredibly cool bespoke touch.
