General History

This is the first-ever CC8S. It debuted at the Geneva International Motor Show in March 2002 and was, at the time, reported to have been delivered to its customer. However, it is not believed to have ever really been delivered to a customer. The car is owned by Koenigsegg and is used as a factory development car, including being used to break the then-seven-year-old McLaren F1 world record for production car top speed at Nardo in Italy. For this attempt, #7001 was fitted with a roll cage, race seat, 4-point safety harness and fire retention system in the engine compartment as well as in the cabin.

While #7001 began its life as CC8S, it has received numerous upgrades and is now considered to be CCR-specification (but nevertheless with its CC8S VIN).

Exterior Spec

This CC8S is currently painted red. However, the exterior spec of this car has changed numerous times over the years given its function as a development car. In the early stage of its life it had a one piece black rear wing, which was later abandoned. During the Auto Motor Sport review with Horst von Saurma the wing was painted silver. Although many CCR upgrades were applied to this car, it always kept the CC8S front with notched headlights.

Interior Spec

The interior is black leather with grey alcantara.
