General History

#7235 was delivered in November 2020 via Koenigsegg Florida to a collector in Naples, FL. Rarely seen, the owner had owned the vehicle for one year before listing it for sale privately beginning with, surprisingly for a car of this caliber, a Facebook listing by his daughter. However, the car did not sell and hence remained with its first owner. In September 2022, Hurricane Ian struck Florida. Unprecedented in its size and force, it caused over $100 billion in damages and took a devastating human toll. Among the losses was this Regera, which was flooded with salt water inside the owner’s garage. Though the owner’s daughter confirmed that their family was safe, the Regera was totalled with its engine, battery, and electronics all having been submerged. After the hurricane, this car was not seen again.

In March 2023, Koenigsegg Automotive purchased #7235, the car still incredibly damaged from the flooding. A source of Egg Registry familiar with Koenigseggs on a technical level informed us that the car is a likely complete write off, the damage from the water having severely harmed the battery and other electronic systems of the car. The car arrived in Ängelholm in April 2023. As of June 26, 2023, the car was registered with Sweden’s Transportstyrelsen (a government agency responsible for, among other things, car registration) with the license plate COE02M, thus making it publicly-available knowledge that Koenigsegg owns the vehicle.

What the future holds for 7235 we can only speculate, but it wouldn’t surprise us if Koenigsegg engineers were eager to analyze how their engineering held up against salt water and gain valuable data to learn from - a bright side of a sad event!

Exterior Spec

The exterior of this Regera is Blue-tinted Carbon Fibre. The car has Gold Leaf stripes running the length of the car from the front bonnet. There is also Gold Leaf striping around the front air intakes. The car sports the Tresex AirCore Carbon wheels and Candy Red brake calipers. This car is optioned with the Ghost Package, giving it additional aerodynamic fins on the front, sides, and rear. The wing mirrors are Blue-tinted Carbon Fibre.

Interior Spec

The interior of this Regera is two-tone Cream and Desiato Leather. The Cream Leather covers the outer part of the seats, as well as the A-pillars and centre of the steering wheel. The wheel itself is covered in Desiato Leather. Desiato Leather also covers the inner part of the seats, which features Lingonberry Stitching in the Drift Pattern.
